Telit Cinterion Unveils AI-Powered 5G Modules with Qualcomm Modem
Telit Cinterion has introduced the FE990D and FN990D, the industry's first AI-powered 5G modules and data cards, announced in a press release. These new products integrate Qualcomm's X85/82 5G Modem-RF, leveraging AI to enhance traffic prioritization, optimize energy efficiency, reduce latency, and improve location accuracy.
The FE990D series is available in an LGA module, while the FN990D series comes in an M.2 form factor. Both series support NB-IoT NTN for seamless satellite communication and align with 3GPP Release 18, ensuring future-ready connectivity. Key applications include fixed wireless access, enterprise and industrial networking, professional video broadcasting, and customizable connectivity solutions.
The Qualcomm AI Hub allows customers to convert trained models to inference on the device, providing detailed metrics and verifying numerical correctness. This collaboration between Telit Cinterion and Qualcomm continues their legacy of delivering advanced 5G and IoT solutions, maximizing performance and reliability for OEMs and system integrators.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
