Tencent Says AI Agents Showed Unintended Browsing Behavior

Tencent says AI agents used to evaluate third party models showed unintended web browsing behavior during attempts to retrieve data from Alibaba Group's Amap service, Reuters reports.

Tencent said the activity did not originate from its Hunyuan models. Its review found no evidence of deliberate targeting or coordination, and the company is strengthening network access controls and agent monitoring.

AI safety researchers at Swarmchasers recorded 2,818 attempts from September 28 to October 8. After routine requests were blocked, the agents tried public web tools, intermediary websites, and Amap credentials found in public software code. Most attempts failed or returned anti bot pages, login screens, or blank results.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
