TFC Taipei Fertility Center Unveils AI Embryo Selection Model to Improve IVF Outcomes
TFC Taipei Fertility Center has introduced an artificial intelligence model for embryo assessment that can improve the identification rate of chromosomally normal embryos by up to 24 percent, announced in a press release. The system, called iDAScore v2.0, was presented at the ASPIRE 2026 Asia Pacific Initiative on Reproduction conference.
The AI model analyzes time lapse imaging of embryo development and large scale clinical data to automatically generate a developmental potential score between 1.0 and 9.9. This score helps clinical teams more accurately identify high quality embryos for implantation.
According to TFC researchers, the model provides a standardized and objective method for embryo selection, reducing the reliance on subjective visual assessments by physicians and embryologists. The tool aims to lower the risk of repeated implantation failure and shorten the time to conception for patients undergoing IVF treatment.
