President Donald Trump says US documents will replace the term artificial intelligence with super intelligence, abbreviated as SI. The White House has not issued implementation details.

President Donald Trump said all US documents will replace the term artificial intelligence with super intelligence, The Hill reports. Breaking Defense reports that the White House has not issued an official announcement explaining how agencies should implement the change.

Trump made the statement during an address to the United Nations General Assembly on September 22. He said the word artificial makes intelligence sound fake and proposed SI as the new abbreviation.

In AI research, superintelligence generally refers to a hypothetical form of AI that exceeds the intelligence of the most capable humans, rather than AI systems in general.
