TrustedRouter Raises $6 Million for Private AI Model Routing

TrustedRouter raised $6 million in seed funding led by Sierra Ventures. Its service routes requests across AI models and offers encrypted processing for some open weight models.

TrustedRouter closed a $6 million seed round led by Sierra Ventures, reports Semafor. The model routing startup launched publicly six weeks ago.

Its service lets developers and businesses switch between AI models based on factors such as cost and privacy. For some open weight models, TrustedRouter offers end to end encryption and verifiable confidential computing designed to prevent both the company and the data center from reading customer prompts or outputs.

TrustedRouter also plans to create a marketplace called the New York Token Exchange. Under the plan, models and hosting providers would compete to process requests, with AI tokens priced as commodities.
