TUPLS and transcosmos Build AI Tutor for Pharmacy Training

TUPLS and transcosmos announced in a press release a joint project to adapt trans-AI Tutor for pharmacy students and pharmacists. The organizations plan to begin a pilot with fourth year TUPLS students in November 2026, before their pharmacy practice training.

The voice based generative AI tool will let students repeat role play exercises using patient personas configured by age, personality and medical history. Faculty supervised scenarios will align with Japan's Model Core Curriculum, while automated assessments will provide immediate feedback and track learning progress.

The project will also examine training for complex clinical cases and incidents. Planned later features include access to legislative and regulatory updates, supporting continued education after graduation.
