Ubitium raises $14 million for universal physical AI processor
Ubitium raised $14 million in seed funding to develop a universal processor for autonomous machines, according to Tech.eu. The round was led by Ibex Investors, with participation from OpenOcean, KBC Focus Fund, Runa Capital, Inflection and Quantum Systems co-CEO Florian Seibel as an individual investor, Tech Funding News reports.
The funding brings Ubitium's total seed capital to $18 million. Its reconfigurable architecture combines signal processing, AI inference and real time control, which are commonly handled by separate processors. It uses unified memory and standard RISC-V development tools.
Ubitium's UB108 demonstration chip contains 256 processing elements and was manufactured with Samsung's 8 nanometer process. The company will use the funding to advance its commercial UB410 processor, which will contain 4,096 processing elements. Final chip design submission and evaluation units are planned for 2027, with initial applications focused on high resolution radar and audio systems.
