UBTech Begins Mass Production of Walker S2 Humanoid Robots
UBTech Robotics has begun mass production and delivery of its Walker S2 humanoid robots, announced in a press release. The first batch of several hundred full-size units will be deployed across industrial settings, marking the start of large-scale implementation of humanoid robotics. The company aims to deliver 500 units within the year.
UBTech has outlined plans to expand production capacity to 5,000 units per year by 2026 and 10,000 by 2027. The Walker S2 robots are being supplied for use in automotive manufacturing, smart factories, logistics, and data collection centers.
The Walker S2 is integrated with UBTech’s Co-Agent intelligent agent system, enabling capabilities such as task planning, tool usage, and autonomous anomaly handling. Through its BrainNet technology platform, UBTech offers turnkey solutions that allow rapid deployment and scenario-based operation for industrial clients.
Since early 2025, UBTech’s Walker series robots have received orders exceeding 800 million yuan (approximately US$112 million). Recent contracts include a 159 million yuan deployment at a data collection center in Zigong and a 250 million yuan order signed in September. The company collaborates with major industry players including BYD, Geely Auto, Foxconn, and SF Express.
