Ultima Genomics to Sequence 80,000 Samples for UK Biobank Immune Study
Ultima Genomics said in a press release that its UG200 sequencing platform was selected for a study involving IMU Biosciences, UK Biobank, and Waters Corporation. The project will generate a single cell immune profiling dataset for AI research from 80,000 blood samples collected from UK Biobank participants.
The study will combine IMU Biosciences' immune profiling with the BD FACSDiscover Cell Analyzer, the BD Rhapsody single cell multiomics platform, and Ultima sequencing. The resulting immune data will be added to UK Biobank's existing deidentified genomic, imaging, clinical, and lifestyle data and made available to approved researchers.
The project will begin in 2026 and could later expand across UK Biobank's full cohort of 500,000 participants. Ultima said its UG200 platform was validated for use with BD Rhapsody during the selection process.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
