UltraSense and Partron Sign MOU for AI Wearable Controls

UltraSense Systems and Partron will develop touch controls for AI wearables and smartphones under a new memorandum of understanding.

UltraSense Systems and Partron signed a memorandum of understanding to develop user interface technology for AI wearables and smartphones, the companies said in a press release. The collaboration combines UltraSense's ultrasound sensing platform with Partron's product engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

The companies will work on touch through metal and solid state controls for wearable and mobile devices. Partron will support product integration, manufacturing and deployment as projects move toward commercial and high volume production.

UltraSense's platform supports touch, force, proximity, gesture and haptic feedback using ultrasound sensing, custom chips, embedded processing, firmware and sensor fusion. The agreement covers joint development, customer implementation and worldwide commercialization.
