Upstage Launches Solar Pro 4 Large Language Model
Upstage launched Solar Pro 4, its closed commercial flagship large language model, on August 11, the company announced in a press release. The model is built for document understanding, information extraction, long context reasoning, and agent workflows with tool calls and structured outputs.
Upstage said Solar Pro 4 reached more than 370 billion tokens on OpenRouter within one week of listing. The model is also integrated into Hermes Agent from Nous Research, where it supports agent workflows for developers.
Artificial Analysis gave Solar Pro 4 an overall score of 42. Upstage said the model scored 71 on the AA LCR long context comprehension benchmark, which measures information extraction and reasoning across large document sets.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
