Veeva Introduces AI Agent for Clinical Study Configuration

Veeva Study Builder Agent configures clinical studies from protocols and automates testing. Early access is planned for December 2026.

Veeva Systems announced in a press release Study Builder Agent, an AI tool that configures Veeva EDC and Veeva DQS directly from a study protocol. The tool reuses an organization's existing standards and supports the CDISC Unified Study Definitions Model.

Study Builder Agent configures EDC forms, visits, validation rules and CQL based DQS listings. It also automates testing and generates test data. Veeva says the process minimizes deviations from standards and produces audit ready results.

Veeva plans to make the agent available to early users in December 2026. It will be included with Veeva EDC at no additional license cost and delivered as a Claude Cowork plugin through a GitHub repository managed by Veeva.
