Vertiv Integrates SmartRun Digital Twin with NVIDIA Omniverse DSX
Vertiv has introduced a digital twin capability for its SmartRun physical infrastructure system, integrated within the NVIDIA Omniverse DSX Blueprint workflows, announced in a press release. The integration enables model-based design, simulation, and validation of AI factory infrastructure before physical deployment.
The SmartRun system is presented as a configurable digital twin that allows teams to plan power, cooling, and control systems as a unified model. This approach is intended to reduce design changes, improve coordination, and accelerate readiness for AI factory operations. The digital twin captures configurations and dependencies in a virtual environment to support end-to-end simulation and validation.
Vertiv stated that this release marks the first phase of its AI factory digital twin roadmap. Future phases will extend the model-based approach to the Vertiv OneCore Rubin DSX platform. The SmartRun digital twin was demonstrated at Computex Taipei 2026, using Dassault Systèmes' model-based systems engineering tools on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, connected to NVIDIA Omniverse DSX workflows.
According to NVIDIA, integrating Vertiv SmartRun into Omniverse DSX helps customers evaluate infrastructure options earlier in the design process and prepare for multiple generations of accelerated computing.
