Vodex Report Finds Workforce Concerns Slow Voice AI Adoption in Collections
DROS.ai, developed by Vodex, said in a press release that workforce concerns are slowing voice AI adoption in the collections industry. Its field report draws on more than 25 conversations with agency owners, compliance leaders and operations managers at the ACA International Annual Convention and Expo in Orlando, Florida, from July 22 to 24, 2026.
The report found that many operators assess voice AI using impressions that are two to three years out of date. It also found that companies often focus their business cases on labor savings, while expanding contact coverage could provide a less contested use case. Inbound overflow and after hours coverage were identified as possible starting points.
DROS.ai said engineered voice agents can deliver required disclosures consistently and create reviewable records. The report recommends retaining complete recordings and transcripts, along with versioned disclosure logic, as state rules and litigation continue to shape requirements for AI voice systems.
