Vuzix to Show Causeway Optical Interconnect Platform for AI Data Centers

Oct 12, 2026
Vuzix will demonstrate its Causeway optical interconnect evaluation platform at two October industry events and offer evaluation units to qualified partners.

Vuzix Corporation will show its Causeway optical interconnect evaluation platform at the 2026 OCP Global Summit and PECC Summit, following its August shipment of waveguide bridge samples to selected customers and partners, the company said in a press release. Vuzix will hold meetings at OCP in San Jose from October 12 to 15 and attend PECC in Sunnyvale from October 20 to 21.

The evaluation platform has demonstrated 19,200 parallel optical pathways across an optical path of about 30 mm. It uses waveguides to route optical connections through a compact substrate for co packaged optics, near package optics and AI computing.

Vuzix is offering evaluation units to qualified data center, semiconductor, photonics and packaging partners. Engineers can measure optical loss, crosstalk, channel density, coupling and alignment, then assess requirements for custom designs and manufacturing.
