The Weather Company Launches AI Weather Story Tool

Oct 19, 2026
Weather Story Assist creates localized weather content for television, streaming, web, social and mobile channels while leaving publication decisions to meteorologists.

The Weather Company launched Weather Story Assist, an AI storytelling assistant available through its Max Cloud platform, it said in a press release. The tool turns forecasts into localized content for television, streaming, web, social and mobile channels.

Weather Story Assist searches a station group's Max Cloud library to recommend graphics, archived video and other relevant assets. It can also surface historical information, weather records and possible story angles, with each suggestion linked to its original source.

Meteorologists must approve all stories, graphics and scripts before publication or broadcast. The tool operates within each station group's private Max Cloud environment and does not share customer data or use it to train systems for other customers.
