WEKA has introduced NeuralMesh, a new software-defined storage system designed to enhance AI infrastructures with a dynamic mesh architecture, announced in a press release. NeuralMesh aims to optimize AI environments by creating scalable token warehouses and AI factories that improve performance and reduce costs.

NeuralMesh is built to support the growing demands of AI innovation, particularly in the shift from model training to real-time inference and reasoning. The system's architecture allows it to become more resilient and efficient as it scales, offering microsecond latency for real-time responses. This adaptability is crucial as traditional data infrastructures struggle to keep up with the increasing performance and scale requirements of modern AI workloads.

The system features a containerized, mesh-based architecture that connects data, storage, compute, and AI services seamlessly. It is designed to accelerate GPUs, TPUs, and AI workloads, providing consistent, ultra-fast data access and self-healing capabilities. NeuralMesh also offers flexibility across various deployment strategies, from data centers to multicloud environments, without the need for costly replacements or complex migrations.

WEKA plans to make NeuralMesh generally available in the fall of 2025, following a limited release for enterprise and large-scale AI deployments.
