Wesco to Acquire Singapore-Based Newark Engineering Group for $136 Million
Wesco has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Newark Engineering Group, a Singapore-based provider of engineered cooling and lifecycle services for data centers, announced in a press release. The purchase price is 175 million Singapore dollars, or approximately 136 million US dollars, on a cash-free, debt-free basis.
Newark designs, supplies, installs, commissions, and maintains thermal management systems used in data centers across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia. The company reported about 60 million US dollars in revenue in 2025 and serves global technology and Fortune 500 clients.
Wesco stated that the acquisition will expand its data center capabilities, particularly in cooling and lifecycle services, and strengthen its position in Southeast Asia. The company expects the deal to contribute to growth and margin improvement within the first year after closing.
The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
