Wingspan Launches MCP for Contractor Onboarding and Payments

Wingspan announced in a press release the beta launch of Wingspan MCP, a connection that lets finance and operations teams work with company records through Claude and ChatGPT. The Model Context Protocol connection provides access to onboarding, billing, payment, and compliance information.

Teams can identify onboarding blockers, invite workers, review amounts owed and paid, create draft payables, check payment history, and preview upcoming payroll runs. Final approval and payment execution remain within Wingspan.

The beta supports workflows involving 1099 contractors, international contractors, and contingent W-2 employees. Wingspan says it has served more than 300,000 workers and processes over $8 billion in annualized transaction volume.
