Wondershare Launches UniConverter 18 With AI Media Agent

Wondershare announced in a press release the launch of UniConverter 18, an update to its media processing software. The release adds automated image enhancement, natural language batch conversion and new controls for compression and processing.

The new AI Media Agent starts batch conversion tasks from natural language instructions. Auto Fix analyzes images for blur, lighting, faded colors and visible damage, then selects an enhancement method. A Watch Folder feature automatically converts files added to designated folders using preset rules.

UniConverter 18 also adds target settings for file size, compression ratio or quality, along with audio passthrough and CPU usage controls. Wondershare says upgraded GPU processing reduced conversion time by up to about 90 percent in selected tests on NVIDIA powered Windows systems, though results vary by hardware, files and settings.

Other additions include downloads for eligible YouTube account content, M3U8 streams and multiple subtitle language tracks. Editing updates include face and object blurring, embedded subtitle removal and improved removal of objects and moving subjects.
