XRDNA Completes First Field Test of Mission Fabric

XRDNA completed Phase I of Project OPAL, testing its Mission Fabric system with personnel, drones, sensors and mobile assets in a live field environment.

XRDNA completed Phase I of Project OPAL, its first field test of Mission Fabric, the company said in a press release. The internally funded test moved the system from laboratory and software demonstrations into a live mission environment with participating partners.

Mission Fabric connected personnel, field locations, mobile assets, sensor nodes, drones and simulated payloads through persistent Elastic Vector Addressing identities. Its Map of Everything interface used AI to help operators associate sensor observations and field inputs with the people, places and equipment they represented.

The test also evaluated the system with mobile devices, distributed sensors, changing relationships between assets and limited communications. XRDNA plans further Project OPAL phases with more complex mission scenarios, sensor integrations, communications environments and operational workflows.
