XRlabs Raises €7.48 Million for Surgical AI
XRlabs raised €7.48 million ($8.4 million) in seed funding, according to EU-Startups. Playground Global led the round, with participation from Eka Ventures.
XRlabs develops software that combines video from surgical scopes, navigation data, and CT and MRI scans into an anatomy aware view of a procedure. Its SIM product creates patient specific 3D models for planning and rehearsal, while SurgicalOS brings those models into the live operating view. The platform has been used in more than 100 surgical cases across three continents.
The London company will use the funding to expand its engineering and clinical teams, pursue regulatory approvals in the UK, Europe, and the US, and gather further clinical evidence. Former Medtronic chairman and CEO Omar Ishrak has also joined XRlabs as board chair.
