ZaiNar Opens Tokyo Office, Joins City’s Green Transformation Program

ZaiNar has opened a new office in Tokyo and was chosen by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as one of seven companies in its Green Transformation Market Entry Support Program, according to a press release. The program supports foreign firms contributing to Tokyo’s decarbonization and smart city initiatives.

The Tokyo office will serve as ZaiNar’s Asia Pacific hub for projects in construction, logistics, and urban traffic management. The company’s technology uses existing 5G and WiFi networks to provide continuous spatial awareness, locating vehicles and equipment with sub-10 centimeter accuracy without additional hardware or software on the devices.

ZaiNar’s system operates entirely on the network side, enabling positioning in dense urban and underground areas where GPS is unreliable. This capability is aimed at improving traffic coordination and reducing emissions in highly congested cities like Tokyo.

The company, headquartered in Belmont, California, holds more than 95 issued patents and reports over 500 million dollars in contracts and memoranda of understanding. The Tokyo office marks ZaiNar’s first permanent presence in the Asia Pacific region.
