Zocdoc Launches Care Access Network for Appointment Booking

Zocdoc is opening its appointment booking infrastructure to AI platforms, insurers, search engines and review sites through its new Care Access Network.

Zocdoc announced in a press release the Care Access Network, which lets external platforms add healthcare search, appointment availability and booking. Partners can connect through machine readable data feeds, a developer API or an MCP server for AI services.

Partners include Amazon Health AI, Yelp, Healthgrades, Blue Shield of California, WellHive and the existing Google Gemini booking integration. The network gives these services access to appointments from more than 200,000 providers across over 200 specialties and 10,000 insurance plans.

Blue Shield of California has made two million hours of appointments available within a 90 day window through the network. Booked appointments on its services increased seven times, while members waited an average of six days for care.
