Magnar Raises $8 Million to Expand Legal AI in Brazil and Mexico
Magnar raised an $8 million Series A to expand its legal AI platform, enter Brazil and Mexico, and strengthen its operations across Latin America.
Magnar is an independent legal AI vendor building what it calls the AI legal agent for Latin America, sold to private practice lawyers and in house legal teams. Its products cover case law search, document analysis, a legal assistant, a document management system and electronic signature, with research grounded in per country statute and case law databases whose references the user can open and check, and it works inside Microsoft Word and Outlook. It says close to 30,000 users and 350 law firms use it, and it is available in Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador and Costa Rica. In September 2026 it raised an $8 million Series A led by 6 Degrees Capital with Hi Ventures as co lead, with FEN Ventures, Platanus Ventures and Nascent Ventures participating and the law firms Beccar Varela and Carey investing, to deepen its existing markets and open Brazil and Mexico with local offices. Andrés Arellano is chief executive.
