Agility Robotics Introduces Digit 5 Humanoid Robot

Digit 5 can lift 50 pounds, work near people, and run for 90 minutes before recharging in nine minutes.

Agility Robotics introduces Digit 5, a general purpose humanoid robot designed to work near people without physical safety barriers, the company said in a press release. Its safety system combines AI based human detection, multiple sensors, visual and auditory cues, and an independent safety controller.

Digit 5 can repeatedly lift loads of up to 50 pounds. Its battery runs for 90 minutes and recharges in nine minutes. The robot supports swappable grippers with ISO standard mounting flanges and can perform tasks including palletizing, machine tending, kitting, sequencing, and quality inspection.

Agility Robotics is working with NVIDIA and participating in efforts to develop humanoid robot safety standards. Early access to Digit 5 will begin in the first half of 2027, with general availability expected by the end of that year. Agility Robotics reported more than $300 million in multi year Digit 5 customer orders as of May 2026, subject to contractual milestones, and says its predecessor Digit 4 has logged more than 65,000 operational hours at customer sites including GXO, Schaeffler, Amazon and Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada. The company plans to expand deployment beyond North America to the European Union and the United Kingdom. The release also carries disclosures about a proposed transaction with Churchill Capital Corp XI.
