Alchemy Adds Mastercard Payments to AgentCard

Alchemy is integrating AgentCard with Mastercard Agent Pay, giving AI agents access to single use payment credentials for authorized online purchases.

Alchemy announced in a press release that AgentCard will support payment credentials from Mastercard through an integration with Mastercard Agent Pay. The service lets developers equip AI agents to complete authorized online purchases wherever Mastercard is accepted.

AgentCard provides agents with single use, tokenized Mastercard credentials linked to a user's existing card. Users retain their card rewards, credit lines and benefits, while users and issuers can restrict spending by amount, merchant category and transaction location.

Developers can use one command line interface to give an agent a dedicated email address, phone number, stablecoin wallet and payment credentials. AgentCard also supports Mastercard's Verifiable Intent framework, which records evidence that an agent acted within a user's authorized instructions.
