Bolt and Stellantis Plan Paris Autonomous Driving Pilot for 2028
Bolt, Stellantis and the Metropolis of Greater Paris plan to launch an autonomous driving pilot in 2028, Reuters reports. The program will use Stellantis vehicles and initially operate in municipalities northwest of Paris.
The pilot will assess gaps in existing transport services and help officials define conditions for a wider deployment. The parties plan to begin commercial operations across Greater Paris by 2030.
Pony.ai is a potential provider of the autonomous driving technology. Bolt also plans to test autonomous vehicles on public streets in Madrid in 2027.
