The acquisition combines Clio’s legal operating system with vLex’s Vincent AI, which is powered by one of the world’s most comprehensive global legal databases. Together, they form what Clio calls the Intelligent Legal Work Platform, designed to connect the business and practice of law through AI.
The funding round includes a US$350 million debt facility led by Blackstone and funds managed by Blue Owl Capital. Clio stated that the new capital will support further AI innovation and strategic mergers and acquisitions within the legal technology sector.
