Cloudflare Uses OpenAI Daybreak to Investigate Vulnerabilities
Cloudflare is using Daybreak from OpenAI to investigate vulnerabilities with data from its network. The integration is detailed in an OpenAI customer story.
The early access service analyzes customer authorized code, checks evidence for potential vulnerabilities, and combines the findings with live traffic and security signals. It can prepare code patches and custom web application firewall rules to reduce exposure while developers review a fix. Cloudflare runs automated checks and a team review before sharing proposals with customers, which decide whether to apply them.
Cloudflare also says all its software developers use OpenAI Codex. A team of four developers used Codex to rebuild a product in three days at a token cost of $1,100. Cloudflare estimates the work otherwise would have taken months and required about 10 times as many developers.
