Cognizant Partners with OpenAI to Integrate Codex into Enterprise Software Engineering
Cognizant has been named by OpenAI as one of a select group of partners to expand the use of Codex across enterprise clients worldwide, announced in a press release.
Cognizant is embedding Codex into its global software engineering workflows as a standard capability across its Software Engineering Group. The company and OpenAI will work together to bring Codex-based development to clients in multiple industries.
According to the announcement, Cognizant engineers are already using Codex for tasks such as code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation. The integration is intended to accelerate delivery cycles, improve code quality, and reduce costs and risks in large-scale modernization projects.
OpenAI stated that Cognizant’s experience in large-scale software transformation enables enterprises to deploy Codex for legacy code modernization, code review automation, vulnerability detection, and application development. The partnership adds Codex to Cognizant’s AI builder stack, supporting clients in adopting AI-powered engineering and modernization capabilities at enterprise scale.
