OpenAI Opens Election Operations Center for US Midterms
OpenAI is opening an Election Operations Center ahead of the US midterms, the company told Politico in an exclusive. The center will operate from this week until all votes are counted.
Hundreds of employees from multiple teams will monitor events, review suspected policy violations and investigate unexpected model behavior. The center will focus partly on attempts to use tools such as ChatGPT to spread false information or disrupt voting.
The operation will also monitor OpenAI services that provide voter registration details, polling locations and election results. OpenAI provides the voting information through Democracy Works and election results through The Associated Press.
"The Elections Operations Center builds on that yearslong work, bringing our teams together to respond quickly to emerging issues and enforce our policies as people head to the polls," said Josh Lawson, OpenAI's head of civic and strategic risk, who leads the center.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
