Rockwell Automation Introduces FactoryTalk Conductor for Industrial AI Workflows

FactoryTalk Conductor coordinates AI agents, automation software and engineering workflows through natural language commands. Commercial availability is planned for the first quarter of 2027.

Rockwell Automation announced in a press release FactoryTalk Conductor, a platform that coordinates AI agents, automation software and engineering workflows. The company will demonstrate the software at Automation Fair 2026 in Boston before planned commercial availability in the first quarter of 2027.

Users can start engineering tasks with natural language instructions. At launch, the platform will connect with Studio 5000 Logix Designer, Logix Echo, Emulate3D and FactoryTalk Optix for system design, development, simulation and testing.

Rockwell Automation plans later integrations with FactoryTalk Design Studio, FactoryTalk Historian, Plex and Fiix. Customers can use AI services hosted through FactoryTalk Hub, connect other language models, or run locally hosted open weight models. They can also create and deploy custom agents and skills alongside agents and skills verified by Rockwell Automation.
