SonarQube Server 2026.5 LTA brings AI code governance and verification to infrastructure managed by customers, including isolated networks and restricted VPC environments.

SonarSource SA announced in a press release the general availability of SonarQube Server 2026.5 LTA. The release brings AI code governance and verification to infrastructure managed by customers, including systems on premises, isolated networks, and VPC environments with access restrictions.

Sonar Vortex gives coding agents project context and constraints, then verifies their changes. SonarQube Hunter Agent identifies logic, access control, and authentication flaws, while SonarQube Remediation Agent generates verified fixes for selected technical debt issues.

The release also provides centralized governance for large language models and access through Model Context Protocol. It supports models from Anthropic and OpenAI, with support for open weight models planned. The agent features are available for purchase with SonarQube Server Enterprise and Data Center editions and are also available through SonarQube Cloud.
