Synack Unveils Sara Pentest, an Agentic AI for Automated Penetration Testing
Synack has introduced Sara Pentest, an agentic AI-powered penetration testing product built on its Sara architecture, announced in a press release. The system performs automated testing on hosts and web applications, aiming to reduce vulnerability detection and remediation times from months to days.
Sara Pentest uses multiple specialized AI agents for reconnaissance, exploitation, and verification. Reconnaissance agents identify open ports and endpoints, attack agents attempt exploits, and verification agents confirm vulnerabilities. Each finding is validated by Synack’s triage team before being summarized in a downloadable report.
The platform enables continuous, scalable testing and allows organizations to align security assessments with business risk. According to Synack, the approach helps reduce costs by delegating basic testing to AI while allowing human pentesters to focus on complex tasks.
Sara Pentest expands Synack’s Penetration Testing as a Service (PTaaS) offering, combining human expertise with agentic AI to identify exploitable risks faster and more efficiently across enterprise environments.
