envelio Speeds Grid Calculations With NVIDIA GPUs

Oct 21, 2026
envelio says its GPU based power flow solver runs grid calculations up to 150 times faster than its previous approach. Czech distribution operator EG.D is using the solver in grid planning workflows.

envelio says in a press release that its GPU based power flow solver performs grid calculations up to 150 times faster than its previous approach. The company says processing time fell by more than 99% compared with its original Intelligent Grid Platform solver.

The solver is in use at Czech distribution system operator EG.D. It uses accelerated computing from NVIDIA while retaining deterministic AC power flow models instead of using AI approximations.

envelio plans to apply the technology to connection assessments, flexible connection agreements, hosting capacity analysis, and large scale grid planning. The company will demonstrate the solver at NVIDIA GTC Berlin from October 20 to 22, 2026.
