Fragment emerged from stealth with $56 million in Series A funding led by 8VC, Tech Funding News reports. General Catalyst and A* co led an earlier seed round.

Fragment develops AI agents that handle purchasing and payment exceptions for industrial companies. Customers include electrical distributor Graybar and natural gas producer CNX.

Its Autonomous Context Engine combines data, business policies and operational knowledge from existing company systems. The agents review issues such as invoice and purchase order mismatches, determine permitted actions and execute approved resolutions without requiring data migration.

Fragment will use the funding to develop the engine, expand into source to pay workflows and support more enterprise deployments.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
