KB Kookmin Bank to Lead $9.45 Billion AI Infrastructure Financing
KB Kookmin Bank secured the lead arranger role for a 12.6 trillion won ($9.45 billion) AI computing infrastructure project in South Korea, according to The Korea Times. The project, led by Brookfield, will acquire GPUs and other high performance computing equipment for supply to NAVER Cloud.
About 10.7 trillion won of the project cost will come from loans. KB Kookmin Bank will structure the financing, assemble the lending group and coordinate loan terms. Hana Bank, Shinhan Bank, Woori Bank and NH Investment & Securities are also reportedly participating.
The transaction is the largest syndicated loan arrangement in South Korea's history and the country's first GPU financing deal. The structure uses expected long term revenue from supplying AI computing capacity to support the initial investment.
"This transaction is significant in that it opens up a new area of financing," a bank official said.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
