Kunlunxin may delay Hong Kong IPO to 2027, Baidu denies report
Baidu's AI chip unit Kunlunxin may push its Hong Kong initial public offering into 2027 while it waits for approval from Chinese securities regulators, The Standard reports, citing Bloomberg. Baidu submitted a confidential listing application for the unit earlier this year.
A Baidu spokesperson denied the market rumors and said the company cannot disclose material nonpublic information, including the progress of the listing, while Kunlunxin goes through the confidential filing process. Baidu will make an announcement in due course.
Kunlunxin shipments made up 4% of China's data center AI chip market in the first half of the year, compared with 28% for Huawei, according to IDC. Baidu shares closed more than 1% lower.
