John Padgett has launched Spaxial, a company developing an AI platform for personalized guest services at cruise lines, casinos, theme parks, stadiums and resorts.

John Padgett, creator of Disney's MagicBand and FastPass+ and Carnival's Princess Medallion, launches Spaxial, the company said in a press release. The privately funded company is developing an AI platform for cruise lines, casinos, theme parks, stadiums and resorts.

The platform combines permission based digital identity, precise location data and AI models that run at the edge. It is designed to identify participating guests, assess their preferences and current surroundings, and give employees prompts for personalized service in real time.

Spaxial says the system uses ultra wideband and LiDAR technology, discreet wearable devices and a blockchain based identity. Guests can opt in to recognition and request immediate deletion of their data.
