PyTorch Foundation Adds Alibaba Cloud, Cambricon and Ant Group
PyTorch Foundation added Alibaba Cloud and Cambricon Technologies as Platinum members and Ant Group as a Gold member, the foundation announced in a press release. Alibaba Cloud and Cambricon each receive a seat on the foundation's Governing Board and Technical Advisory Council.
The companies are presenting parts of the open AI stack at PyTorch Conference China 2026 in Shanghai. Alibaba Cloud is covering Qwen infrastructure and model serving, while Cambricon is discussing device agnostic PyTorch support and broader backend compatibility.
Ant Group is presenting secure runtimes for AI agents using technologies including Kubernetes Agent Sandbox and Kata Containers. Huawei is also participating with a session on hardware and software co design and interoperability between its Ascend hardware and PyTorch.
The conference runs from September 7 to 9. More than 250 organizations in China contribute to PyTorch Foundation projects, including DeepSpeed, Helion, PyTorch, Ray, Safetensors and vLLM.
