SK hynix Revenue Tops 100 Trillion Won as HBM4 Sales Grow
SK hynix posted third quarter revenue of 104.62 trillion won and operating profit of 83.33 trillion won, an 80% operating margin, the company reported in a press release. Revenue exceeded 100 trillion won for the first time and rose 32% from the previous quarter, while operating profit increased 38%.
The memory supplier recorded net income of 39.78 trillion won. Higher sales of server DDR5 and the start of larger HBM4 shipments supported DRAM results, while sales of 321 layer NAND products for data centers also increased.
SK hynix expects HBM4 to surpass HBM3E in shipment volume and revenue during the fourth quarter. It plans to raise production at its M15X facility to full capacity by the end of 2026 and increase the share of its sixth generation 10 nanometer class process.
The company has signed long term agreements with 14 customers covering more than 50% of its planned production capacity for 2027 and 2028. It expects memory demand to exceed supply through 2030 because of rising AI infrastructure demand, technical constraints on advanced processes, and the time required to build production facilities.
