Baseten Set to Raise Funding at Up to $30 Billion Valuation, Bloomberg Reports
AI inference startup Baseten is set to raise new funding that would more than double its valuation to about $30 billion, Bloomberg reports, citing people familiar with the efforts. The round would come in two tranches, the first valuing Baseten at $26 billion and the second at $30 billion.
Baseten is in talks to raise about $2 billion in total, and existing investor Sands Capital is expected to lead, AI Weekly reports in a summary of the Bloomberg story. According to that summary, Bloomberg frames the raise as reflecting growing demand for AI inference infrastructure.
The top valuation would be about 2.3 times the $13 billion Baseten reached in June, when it closed a $1.5 billion Series F. Axios reported in September that talks were taking place at $26 billion.
