Denham Capital and First American Nuclear Partner on Power Solutions for AI Data Centers

April 21, 2026
Denham Capital has formed a strategic partnership with First American Nuclear to deliver integrated power solutions for AI and hyperscale data centers, combining nuclear and on-site generation capabilities.

Denham Capital has entered a strategic partnership with First American Nuclear to supply integrated power solutions for AI and hyperscale data centers, announced in a press release. The collaboration aims to deliver both immediate and long-term energy capacity through on-site generation and future nuclear power projects.

Denham Capital and its portfolio companies will deploy flexible power systems ahead of First American Nuclear's small modular reactor projects reaching operation. This approach is designed to give data center operators access to immediate energy resources while securing a long-term nuclear roadmap.

Denham's Gray Oak Power platform, launched in early 2026, will support the initiative by building and operating on-site gas generation facilities. These facilities can become operational several years ahead of traditional utility connections, addressing delays in power infrastructure for large-scale data centers.

The partnership responds to increasing energy demands from hyperscale computing, with U.S. data center power requirements projected to exceed 100 gigawatts by 2028. It also aligns with policy measures encouraging technology companies to develop or procure their own energy resources.
