DrillDocs Expands CleanSight to Angola and Canada

Oct 21, 2026
DrillDocs has deployed its CleanSight computer vision system on drilling facilities in Angola and Canada after validation in Guyana. The company says the system continuously measures cuttings return rates to help crews reduce circulating time and identify wellbore problems.

DrillDocs announced in a press release that it has expanded its CleanSight drilling surveillance system to Angola and Canada. The computer vision system uses cameras at shale shakers to continuously measure the size, shape and quantity of material returning from a wellbore.

DrillDocs also coauthored technical paper SPE 233,838 with an unnamed operator. The research compared computer vision measurements with manual methods and automated flow meters.

CleanSight was installed on Valaris' DS-9 drillship in Angola and the Hebron platform in Eastern Canada following validation on two drillships in Guyana. The system provides cavings alerts and other wellbore data intended to help crews reduce the risk of stuck pipe and related downtime.
