Helsing Unveils Contra AI Air-Defence System and Two Interceptors
Helsing unveiled Contra, an autonomous, AI-based air-defence system meant to protect countries from large-scale drone and missile attacks, the German defence company said in a press release. Contra merges sensors and weapons into one air picture and can detect and engage hundreds or thousands of drones and missiles at once. Users keep control of decisions and priorities through Helsing's Altra command-and-control platform.
Helsing also presented two radar-guided interceptors. AD-1 Inferno is a jet-powered interceptor that can loiter, operate in swarms and engage targets repeatedly. AD-2 Ambush is a solid-rocket interceptor that reaches Mach 2.5 with a range of more than 20 km. Both launch from containers, will be built in Helsing's own factories, and cost well below existing models per unit, the company said.
Helsing said Contra can integrate third-party sensors, interceptors, lasers and anti-drone guns within days. It cited intelligence reports that Russia now produces 4,000 Geran-4 and Geran-5 drones a month, which puts parts of the EU in range of possible attacks.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
