Intel and Oracle plan a multiyear collaboration to expand Xeon computing capacity on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, including future X14 offerings based on Diamond Rapids processors.

Intel Corporation and Oracle Corporation plan a multiyear collaboration to expand computing based on Intel Xeon processors across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, the companies announced in a press release. The plans cover current and future Xeon platforms for enterprise applications, AI agents, and inference.

Oracle plans to offer OCI X14 services based on Intel's next generation server processor, codenamed Diamond Rapids. The companies will coordinate processor roadmaps and capacity planning as Oracle expands OCI.

Diamond Rapids will include enhanced Intel Advanced Matrix Extensions with FP8, FP16, and BF16 support for inference software. It will also include Intel Advanced Performance Extensions, which are designed to reduce instruction overhead in optimized applications.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
