NEXTDC cut its 2027 forecasts and paused new projects after a power delay at its M3 data centre deferred about A$140 million in contracted revenue.

NEXTDC cut its 2027 forecasts after halting trading over delayed power supply at its M3 data centre in Melbourne, Channel News Asia reports. Its shares closed down 41.7% on Wednesday, wiping about A$3 billion from its market value.

The electricity network delay will defer about A$140 million in contracted customer revenue this financial year. NEXTDC now expects 2027 net revenue of A$475 million to A$500 million, down from A$615 million to A$640 million, and underlying EBITDA of A$245 million to A$265 million, down from A$385 million to A$410 million.

NEXTDC paused new development projects and land purchases for the foreseeable future. It also reduced its 2027 capital spending forecast to A$4.5 billion to A$5 billion and is considering sales of selected development sites. The company expects the next power supply increase at M3 in 2028.
