OpenAI, Anthropic and Nvidia Spend $7.5 Million on Third Quarter Lobbying
OpenAI, Anthropic and Nvidia spent about $7.5 million combined on federal lobbying during the third quarter, according to POGO Investigates. Spending rose 22% from the second quarter and nearly 60% from the same period in 2025.
The three companies have spent about $37 million on federal lobbying since the start of 2024, with roughly half spent in 2026. Through the third quarter, Anthropic spent more than $8.05 million, Nvidia spent $6.04 million and OpenAI spent $4.77 million. Anthropic's total could rise because one external lobbying firm had not filed its third quarter disclosure when the data was published.
Their disclosures cover semiconductor trade policy, export controls, cybersecurity, copyright, Pentagon procurement, child protection and the effect of AI on jobs. Federal lawmakers have introduced at least 99 bills related to AI during the current Congress, while the Federal Trade Commission has sought information from Anthropic and OpenAI about security incidents and privacy policies.

Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
