Oracle Forecasts $30 Billion in Free Cash Flow by Fiscal 2029

Oct 29, 2026
Oracle expects free cash flow to reach $30 billion in fiscal 2029 and plans to limit new fundraising to $20 billion through May 2030.

Oracle Corporation shares rose as much as 14% after the company forecast $30 billion in free cash flow for the year ending May 2029, The Next Web reports, citing Bloomberg. Analysts had expected free cash flow to remain negative that year.

Chief Financial Officer Hilary Maxson gave the forecast at Oracle's annual conference in Las Vegas and said cash flow would become positive late in fiscal 2028, following two years of peak data center spending. Oracle recorded negative free cash flow of $23.7 billion in the year ending May 2026 after spending $55.7 billion on data centers.

Oracle plans to limit new fundraising to $20 billion through May 2030, divided equally between shares and debt. It expects vendor financing, customer supplied hardware and customer prepayments to reduce upfront cash needs.

The company maintained its target of at least $225 billion in revenue for fiscal 2030. It also plans to add seven gigawatts of data center capacity over the next two years, bringing total capacity above 10 gigawatts by the end of fiscal 2028.
